Shelton Translation provides a comprehensive translation service from French and German into English. I pride myself on delivering high-quality, accurate translations, keeping to agreed deadlines and budgets and observing the strictest confidentiality.
In accordance with professional translating practice and the ITI code of conduct, I only translate into my native language but I can arrange for translations into several other European languages thanks to my network of experienced and well-qualified colleagues.

The texts I translate are usually technical documentation (manuals, specifications and software) or marketing texts (brochures, websites and posters) or a mixture of both.

Use of the latest software, e.g. MemoQ, MS Office, Xbench, Olifant and TO3000, ensures consistency, use of preferred terminology and a quick turnaround.

I am a qualified member of two professional translators’ associations:

the British ITI (www.iti.org.uk), which means I comply  passed the Institute's stringent admission standards and adhere to the Code of Professional Conduct

the German BDÜ (www.bdue.de), which also upholds comparable ethical and professional standards.

Services:
  • translation
  • adaptation/transcreation
  • localisation
  • creation of client glossaries
  • proof-reading/checking by second translator

Various formats handled
Not limited to MS Office!

My main specialist areas are listed on the left but are not restricted to these alone.
I can also work with a variety of formats and am certainly not limited to the standard MS Office formats.
